What is FrutZle.com?
It's my site, my personal little playground on the web. I started the site with this domain several years ago when I found the Snitz Forums 2000 and wanted a place to put my own forums up on. Since then the site's changed looks several times, but the one thing that never did change is it's use (or lack thereof).
What is a frutzle?
A frutzle is nothing. Frutzle is a badly bastardized English version of the Dutch word "frutsel", which means as much as 'something made by fiddling'. I suppose you could say it can be translated as 'doodad'.
Who are you?
Check the About page for the answer to that.

Note: this Q & A are useless until the About page is done :)
Why's the site in English if you're Dutch?
I prefer English over Dutch (don't ask me why, I don't know the answer myself), so my sites have always been in English.
What's that strange thing in the logo?
That is what I like to call 'the little fat man'. I made him a long time ago for no particular reason, but liked him enough to give him a spot in the 'logo'.
Didn't you used to have a page about Maya?
Yes I did, but since I no longer do anything in 3D I took it down. I might let it return at some point if I get back into 3D-modelling again.
Do you make those Photoshop tutorials yourself?
Yes I do. The text and images are 100% mine.
Inspiration comes from various sources like magazines, posters, websites, etc. and of course plain old experimentation (and accidental discoveries). I then try to re-create what I saw, and if it's something I like enough I'll make a tutorial out of it.
I saw a tutorial just like your [insert name] tutorial elsewhere...
Nowadays hardly any idea is new, so it's highly unlikely my tutorials haven't been done elsewhere, and quite possibly better and/or in a different way.
Frankly, I don't care. The ones I put up I came up with, wrote and then did the screenshots myself.
Can I put your tutorial on my site?
Only if you give credit, don't say or imply you did any of the work in making the tutorial. Also, I'd appreciate a link back to the original tutorial and you mustdownload the images and upload them on your own site (don't link to them).
Can I have the Photoshop icons?
Sure. Just right-click and save them for use on your own site.
Don't forget though: they're probably copyrighted in some way, so I'm not giving away the icons but the image files and they're not supposed to be used for anything other than inclusion in tutorials for Adobe Photoshop on non-commercial sites.
Can you make a tutorial on [insert idea]?
I won't make promises, but you can always contact me with a suggestion. If it's doable and I have both the time and will to make a tutorial, I'll do it.
When will new tutorials be added?
Making tutorials takes quite a lot of time. While the writing part often goes fast, rewriting for a more logical order of steps, looking for ways to simplify things, figuring out where to put screenshots and how many of them, taking the screenshots, fixing them for use online, and putting it all together takes hours. Hours I don't always have to spare.
That said, a couple more tutorials have been written and are currently waiting to get finished, so be patient and they'll appear on the site soon enough.
What's with the DVD list?
It's an easy way for me to share, with people whom are interested, the list of which movies I own. Nothing more, nothing less.
How do you rate the movies?
Quite simple: the more I liked a movie, the more DVDs will be coloured.
Why the links to IMDb?
There are so many movies, often with similar names (and remakes), it's easy to lose track of which ones you have and haven't seen. Or you want to look up when it was made, who the actors were, or something else. IMDb provides more information than I could (or want) to put on this site. So linking to them makes sense.
Why a DVD list but not a games list?
While I've played quite a few games, I've also traded in a lot of them, and as such my "collection" isn't worth listing. Plus, owning a certain game doesn't mean it still gets played and could therefore give the wrong impression.
Do you play on Live/PSN?
Yes and no. On Live I tend to stick to playing with friends rather than strangers. I don't play any games on PSN as I don't have a headset nor any current games for the PS3, so I just hop into Home to play some pool instead and play other games' single player only (for now).
Why are your photos watermarked?
Because I don't want those pictures used without my permission.
I know it's not failsafe, knowing how to remove them myself, but if someone wants to use my pictures, they can always ask for them and I might be willing and able to send a file of much higher resolution.
Why the new site?
Two reasons: my old host pretty much disappeared without warning, and the new host runs on different software (Linux as opposed to Windows) so I had to re-code.
Rather than stick with the "old", somewhat limiting look, I decided to go for something new again.
At the time of writing it's still a work in progress, as many things need to be added, but the general look is done.
Your site doesn't look right
That depends on which browser you're using.
I failed to properly test the site prior to uploading, that's true, but most issues seem to have been fixed.

It works as planned in Firefox and Opera, Apple Safari (on Windows) displays everything correctly except bold text (display engine's fault), but Internet Explorer doesn't use all CSS as it should.
Can you make me a site?
Unless I know you.... Don't count on it.
How do I contact you?
You should be able to use the the contact form for that.
